Patriot group organizing MAGA hat rally at CNN HQ in Atlanta to protest the dishonest fake news media

Among those on the pro-Trump Right, there is nothing that gets them more excited than CNN.

The “Clinton News Network” has built a well-deserved reputation of reporting false information, often breathlessly, in the age of POTUS Donald Trump, pushing the phony “Russian collusion” narrative so far that three network journalists working in an “investigative unit” were forced to resign over a fake news report.

Now, Trump-supporting patriots are planning to besiege the network wearing an article of clothing many on the Left are now equating with the KKK or Nazism: The venerable red “MAGA” hat. (Related: Have you committed a “HATcrime?” It’s the new crime of wearing a hat that “triggers” deranged Leftists.)

“Wear your hats and bring pro-Trump signs. We will be walking around CNN Center. We want to show that we are freedom loving Americans that love our country and that we will not be intimidated into not wearing the hats,” the group, Main Street Patriots, wrote on its Facebook event page.

This is an idea whose time has come

The idea is to disavow the Left’s stereotypical description of Trump supporters: Low-income, low-forehead, racist, bigoted, Bible-thumping, gun-toting White supremacists who want to return to colonial days when early Americans owned slaves and “stole land” from the Indians.

Are these folks delusional or paranoid? Hardly. A week doesn’t go by when some CNN analyst doesn’t use a derogatory term to describe the “average” Trump supporter.

In November, for instance, political analyst Kirsten Powers called women who voted for POTUS “racist.”

The same month serial race-baiter and “Republican strategist” Ana Navarro ranted that the president is racist. Actually, he’s a “racist pig,” she said — of the president of the United States, who has never exhibited that behavior.

CNN, like the bulk of the Left-wing “mainstream media” (MSM), has gone out of its way to mischaracterize the president and the tens of millions of Americans who voted for him. It’s about time they got to meet some supporters up close — not that the network’s coverage will change.
